Loaded Carries for Improved Shoulder Health?

“Stabilizers weren’t designed to do anything for 3 sets of 10 reps.” ➖ Gray Cook.

The rotator cuff is built for stability and is reflex driven, and the two things that stimulate better reflex stabilization are compression and distraction.

Which is why loaded carries are a big part of our shoulder health training. The weight essentially pulls the shoulder out of the socket (distraction) leading the rotator cuff firing to maintain the cuff in the socket ➡️ and the same holds true for compressive forces.
