Happy Monday! Hope all the dads out there had a great Father’s Day!
That being said, here are a few thoughts bouncing around in my head after a week of reading, podcasts, cruising social media and any other continuing ed. Enjoy!
- No matter who you work with, I think you should be training people with the same general template. Everyone should push and pull things. Everyone should bridge and hinge. Everyone should perform bilateral and unilateral squat pattern work. Everyone should perform ‘Anti’ core work. But where on the progression you are is based off of who is in front of you.
- Being nice is a choice.
- Apply the concept of ‘minimal effective dose’ to your coaching cues. – Jason Rice on Twitter
- Rule #1: Never stop questioning. Rule #2: Never forget Rule #1. – Richard Feynman
- When coaching and/or watching someone perform an exercise, I always think that if you wouldn’t film it and put it on social media and be proud of it, then I should probably be fixing it.
