Just like every other Sunday, we have another group of podcasts and articles to read and listen to that I have dived into. Like every other week, there was a ton of content out there both in written form and through podcasts. Enjoy!
I really enjoyed all of these listens this week. Dr. Stu McGill, the leading low back pain researcher in the world, is always a great listen – I would highly recommend it. But if you can only listen to one, Joe DeFranco and Brett Bartholomew on the Art of Coaching is great. Brett is always great to listen to and Joe brings a perspective to strength training that I love listening to.
Blood flor restriction training has become very popular lately and I would highly recommend reading Tony’s article. Also, Single Leg Slideboard Leg Curls are one of my favorite movements – check out Movement as Medicine’s article on the movement.

🗣 In the past we have gone directly to the side over mini hurdles. Recently I started to think about deceleration occurring much more at 45 degree angles so we experimented with more of a zig zag 45 degree pattern. Conclusion is that what you see here probably makes more sense. ➖ Michael Boyle. ▫️ . Coach Boyle posted this on his strengthcoach.com website a while back and it was one of those ‘duh’ moments for me, where you realize this makes way more sense then simply performing medial/lateral hurdle hips in the frontal plane only.
