Some thoughts 💠on In-Season training with hockey 🏒➖Fill the empty buckets ➡️ skating is mostly a frontal plane/lateral movement (I know that’s overly simplistic) so we don’t perform any frontal plane strength work during the season. Our lower body work is a heavy dose of split squats, 1-Leg RDL’s, Skater Squats and deadlifts, but since most our lower body strength work is single leg, we still get the benefit of stability of the hip stabilizers in all three planes.
