There are a ton of benefits to developing power in the frontal plane for any and all athletes. The problem is that there aren’t many great options to do so with some sort of resistance.
This is why we’ve done some Band Resisted Lateral Bounds. The movement gets the athlete into the front plane against a small level of resistance. This is also a great option in-season because the band will slightly lessen the landing stresses.
