Pairing an Overcoming Isometric with a plyometric is a phenomenal way to develop huge power. In this scenario, we perform the pin pull in a position specific to the sport (skating 🏒) and then capitalize on the motor unit recruitment through the Explosive Step Up.

We also tend to move towards Overcoming Isometrics at this time of the year because they are a max effort lift but tend to lead to zero muscle soreness — we can stay strong and powerful with zero soreness in the most important portion of the season.
