A Simple Way to Develop Horizontal Power

At MaxWay Performance we do our fair share of Band Resisted Broad Jumps in our training to train horizontal power while also reducing landing forces that the athlete has to experience because of the band resistance.

Adding a slight drop/jump/mini bounce prior to the broad jump is a great way to add some ground reaction time and stiffness while teaching the athlete to hit the ground and get off the ground as fast as possible.
