Another month, another post full of random thoughts that have been going through my head. Hope it sparks a little thought in people and you enjoy!

- Want to be a good strength coach? Start with being a good person.
- When it comes to conditioning, hands on your knees (not your head) is an optimal position for recovery. Do you want to look tough or be tough? – Marco Sanchez
- A poor diet is clearly linked to negative health issues. And you have 100% control of what you put in your mouth. Fruits and vegetables. Lean sources of protein. And try to do it consistently.
- I don’t care what you bench press. At all. – Jason Rice
- There are a lot of things we argue over as strength coaches. One thing I know for sure, you’ll never be wrong by getting people to move well.
- You only control the effort, not the results. – Ryan Holiday
- Most success in life comes from doing boring things over and over again. Success in the weight room is no different.
- Physiology and biomechanics can not be separate from psychology. It’s hard to be a great strength coach without acknowledging the art of coaching.
- When you’re good at something, you’ll tell everyone. When you’re great at something, they will tell you. – Walter Payton
- When done correctly, there is no better corrective exercise than strength training.
