Years back Denis Logan made the statement that we as coaches wanted good Olympic lifters that were great athletes — and I couldn’t agree more with that.
We don’t get caught up in the minor details and intricacies of Olympic lifting when coaching our athletes, we just look for a great set up, a powerful pull, and catching in an athletic position.
We know great Olympic lifting coaches could pick apart what we do, but since we are training athletes and not Olympic weightlifting enthusiasts, we are okay with where we are…cause we have a list of other athletic qualities that we also need to train.
Furthermore, if you are looking for more information about how we develop power, check out my Ultimate Power Development Program.
Along with olympic lifting, we cover plyometrics, med balls and more, with progressions for everything we do.
