Working with adult/general fitness clients?

Though most adults want to get after it and train hard, remember that they generally aren’t competitive athletes. They are bodies that have a little more wear and tear, bodies that probably don’t move as well as they once did.

Because of that, I think it’s extremely important that you choice exercise that are joint friendly. Pick something like a Skater Squat instead of Trap Bar Deadlift. Swings instead of Olympic lifts. Single leg work instead of bilateral work. Dumbbell pressing variations instead of barbell work.
