Exercise of the Week: Sled March

A simple heavily loaded Sled March is without a doubt one of my favorite strength movements with hockey players, especially in-season.

The Sled can be looked at as a loaded hip extension machine, which is exactly what an athlete that lives in a flexed hope position (skating) needs a heavy dose of. The fact that there is also zero eccentric stress, is extremely simple to do well, and doesn’t place a huge load on the system make it hard to beat in-season.

And, its also a great movement for any athlete for a lot of the same reasons!
