A simple exercise that we use to develop power is the Band Lateral Bound.
We use this for various reasons;
☑️ Power in the frontal plane which is extremely important for most athletes
☑️ Power is plane specific — you aren’t going to get better moving explosively laterally by doing cleans and snatches
☑️ The band helps lower landing stresses — any time we can save a little wear and tear on the athletes body is a good thing (especially in-season)
☑️ Band adds a little resistance
