A question I get asked a ton is how we progress exercises in the gym. What do our sets and reps look like? How do we progress from one exercise to another? And many similar questions.
But don’t forget that one of the easiest ways to progress, maybe the easiest and one of my favorites, is to add some tempo. Add eccentric work. Add isometric holds. It’s an easy way to progress and athletes need more than just concentric based training.
If you want a more in-depth look at how we progress and regress everything we do with athletes, from plyo work, to med ball work, to strength and everything else between, check out my Coaches Guide to Progressions and Regressions.
