Should You Lateral Squat?

One of my favorite exercises and also an exercise that I don’t feel is programmed nearly enough in all populations is the Lateral Squat.

There are numerous benefits to the Lateral Squat, IMO the biggest being the fact that it gets people into the front plane, something many people don’t do enough of.

Getting in to the frontal plane is important for hip health in all populations, but also hugely important for athletes that need to produce strength and power in various planes (that’s most athletes) and change direction (that’s also most athletes).
