The Landmine Press is a pressing variation that I use personally, with all athletes I work with, and all the adults that I work with, for a lot of reasons.
✅ allows the shoulder blade to rotate upwardly, typically resulting in pain free pressing
✅ since you are in the ½ Kneeling position and not lying down on a bench, the movement allows the shoulder blade to rotate upwardly because it is NOT essentially pinned down by the bench
✅ allows for ‘overhead’ pressing when most people don’t actually have the mobility to go overhead
✅ Uni-lateral…which is always a nice thing
✅ More core stability
A great movement that can be added to almost anyone’s program!
