Our 3 Step Framework for Developing Power

When we look at developing power with athletes, we do so in 3 different ways.

1. Jumps/Plyometrics = Bodyweight Power. Hurdle Jumps. Hurdle Hops. Bounding.

2. Med Ball Throws = Light Implement Power. Slams. Throws. Rotational Tosses. Shot Puts. Chest Passes.

3. Olympic Lifts = Heavy Implement Power. Hang Clean. Jump Squats. Snatches.

Toss in some sprinting and heavy strength training, and you’ve touched on a lot of the force-velocity curve.
